Technology is a disruptive force which has always led to changes in the way that people work and the types of jobs that are in demand. This change is happening more rapidly with the increased pace of technological development. We have seen changing technologies and a reduction in traditional industries have a dramatic effect on the area. This means that todays’ students must meet unforeseen challenges and opportunities in their lives. They also need to be open to new experiences, have the confidence to engage with new technology and understand how the world of work is changing around them.
Program Highlights
- In this program students will rotate through three activities that will expose them to industry changing technologies and new ways of problem solving.
- Schools selecting this program will choose up to three of the following options in which their students will take part.

Go Deep programs offer a one-day deep dive into dynamic challenges, developed in collaboration with our industry and research partners. Designed to showcase innovation and future pathways, these programs ignite students’ passion for using STEM skills, design thinking, and cutting-edge technology to craft innovative solutions.

3 Day Programs

Go Long Programs are enterprise programs that immerse students in real industry scenarios. As students take control of FTS – our spaces, technologies and our staff – they develop key work-ready skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and communication as they manage their own projects. Designed in collaboration with our industry partners, these programs culminate in compelling presentations that showcase their achievements.
Program Highlights
- In this program students will be immersed in real industry scenarios, co-developed with our Industry Partners.
- They will work together to empathise, define, ideate, prototype and test solutions to solve complex and real industry needs, while developing key work-ready skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and communication.
